When Prolight + Sound 2025 opened its doors in Frankfurt April 8-11, NXT Lights stepped onto the global stage for the very first time, and the debut did not disappoint. Here's a look back at what this milestone meant for us, what the response was, and why this sets the tone for the future of professional stage lighting.
Prolight + Sound 2025
Prolight + Sound 2025 marked the 30th anniversary of one of the world’s premier trade fairs for event, stage, audio, lighting, and media technologies. Over four days, approximately 23,000 trade visitors from 108 countries visited the show, alongside 491 exhibitors from 34 countries. The scale and international scope of the expo made it a critical platform for NXT Lights to reveal our first two fixtures: NEXON M and FLEXON L.
The Debut: NEXON M & FLEXON L
This wasn’t just a booth, it was our statement.
- Products showcased:
We presented our first two flagship fixtures:
NEXON M: a 500 W laser hybrid fixture, delivering beam, spot, and wash in one compact, IP65-rated body.
FLEXON L: a 2x1400 W dual LED profile fixture that unites high CRI and high output LED engines in one profile fixture, a wide zoom range (6°-50°), and IP65 weatherproofing.
- Design & Experience:
Our booth was minimal and stylish, focusing all attention on the fixtures themselves. Visitors could clearly see the build, the optics, and the effects. We also provided hands-on demos via a GrandMA3 control console so lighting designers, tech directors, and other professionals could experience firsthand how NEXON M and FLEXON L respond under real control workflows. - Reception & Interest:
The response was enthusiastic. Many expo visitors were impressed by the hybrid capabilities of NEXON M, the brightness and precision of FLEXON L, and the fact both fixtures are outdoor-capable thanks to IP65 rating. One visitor summed it up simply: “I have never seen such a sharp beam.” - David

Why This Matters
The debut at Prolight + Sound is more than simply introducing new gear:
- Setting expectations: We made clear that NXT isn’t just about specs, but about integrating premium performance with practical, real-world demands (weather, rigging, portability, control).
- Hybrid and IP65 are frontiers: What the industry is starting to expect, and demanding, is fixtures that can do more, last longer, and work outdoors. Our hybrid engine in NEXON M and dual LED profile in FLEXON L address precisely that.
Engagement and credibility: Allowing visitors to control the fixtures with GrandMA3 showed confidence in our product and built trust. Seeing a moving head fixture’s frame shutters, zoom, beam, and color in real time helped convert interest into excitement.
